Jake Edward Meredith is VP of Research & Business Development at Meredith Mergers, where he leverages his extensive research experience to help clients with both strategy and acquisitions. In addition to developing and managing many of the firm’s relationships with private equity funds, he spearheads deal sourcing and execution of both M&A and commercial real estate transactions. Based in Washington, D.C., Jake is also well positioned to advise clients on federal policy actions and geopolitical risk which disrupts portfolio companies, acquisition targets, and other investments.
Prior to joining the Meredith Mergers team, Jake was a Director at ACG Analytics, a DC-based independent research firm that translates anticipated policy actions for hedge funds and asset managers. Jake’s expertise focused on national security-related issues ranging from tech policy to sanctions regimes, although included additional areas of immediate interest to the financial services industry. Additionally, Jake provided strategic advice to clients’ government affairs teams as well as C-suite executives. Prior to joining ACG Analytics, he contracted in the Pentagon for Headquarters Marine Corps.
In 2018, Jake earned an executive education certificate in cybersecurity risk management from Harvard University through a course convened by former Assistant Secretary of Defense Eric Rosenbach. Jake earned a BA in Politics and International Affairs from Wake Forest University with a double minor in History and Entrepreneurship. During his senior year, his paper on Russian military reforms was published by the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Jake attended the Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA, and was awarded the Patrick H. Callaway Prize for Excellence in Theology upon graduation.
