William Thomas serves on Meredith Mergers, LLC s Advisory Board. He served as President for ten of his twenty-five years with The Elwin G. Smith Company – a $150 million privately held engineering and construction firm. During his tenure he acquired three companies adding $30 million in revenues. The Elwin G. Smith Company was acquired by Cyclops Corporation (NYSE) – a $1 billion conglomerate. He became the President of the engineering and construction division of Cyclops Corporation. He also spent 7 years as Executive Vice President of Michael Baker Corporation (AMEX) – a $390 million engineering and construction firm serving the building, civil, energy, environmental, and transportation markets. The Michael Baker Corporation called him out of retirement with the assignment of identifying, negotiating and structuring several acquisitions for them. He completed the acquisition of three corporations with combined annual revenues of $250 million. Subsequently, he was named as President and CEO of Michael Baker Corporation. He has also served in the following capacities: Board of Directors: Technology Recognition Systems, Geneva College, First Bell Bank (Nasdaq), Suburban General Hospital (Chairman), Michael Baker Corporation (AMEX), Orchard Hill Church, and Western Pennsylvania Hospital. Mr. Thomas received his Engineering Degree from Lehigh University and his Advanced Management degree from Harvard University.
